The Short Version
LeanRunning respects your privacy. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. The app runs entirely on your Mac and doesn't phone home.
What Data Does LeanRunning Access?
LeanRunning needs to access certain system information to function:
- USB Device Information: Device names and identifiers to detect when configured devices connect or disconnect.
- WiFi Network Names (SSIDs): The names of WiFi networks you connect to, so we can trigger automations when you join configured networks.
- Running Applications: To launch and quit applications as part of your automations.
- Shortcuts: Access to run Shortcuts you've configured.
None of this data ever leaves your Mac. It's processed locally and stored locally in your app preferences.
What Data Do We Collect?
None. Seriously. We don't have servers. We don't have analytics. We don't have any mechanism to collect your data even if we wanted to.
Third-Party Services
LeanRunning does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.
The purchase process is handled by LemonSqueezy, our payment processor. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy. We receive only the information necessary to fulfill your order (email address for license delivery).
